COMMISSION PRESENTATIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

1.

Recognize members of the Golden Isles of Realtors Leadership Academy for their contribution in providing and installing microchip scanner stations at designated Glynn County parks.

CONSENT AGENDA - General Business

2.

Approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on November 6, 2025, and the special called meeting held on November 18, 2025, subject to any necessary corrections.

Authorize the Chairman to sign the attached proclamation recognizing February 3, 2026, as Four Chaplains Day in Glynn County.

4.

Reappoint Beverly Floyd-Lewis to the Glynn County Board of Health as the representative for consumers of health care services. The term begins January 1, 2026, and ends December 31, 2031.

5.

Approve the Memorandum of Agreement between the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Glynn County for Right-of-Way acquisition for PI No. 0014914, CR 583/Sea Island Road at Dunbar Creek on St. Simons Island, as part of the Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan. Glynn County will contribute $160,000 to the Right-of-Way acquisition, with funding provided by the Capital Projects Multi-Year Fund balance.

Approve the submission of the 2025 HMGP Hornet Drainage Improvement application to the Georgia Emergency Management Agency/Homeland Security and execute the grant related forms.

Approve a revised grant agreement for the Safe Streets for All Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation in the amount of $400,000 with $320,000 in federal funds, and a local match of $80,000 (City of Brunswick: $14,400; Glynn County: $65,600).

Authorize Chairman to sign letter of authorization to Criminal Justice Coordinating Council for award numbers B75-8-034 and B75-8-035, allowing Judy Dunnagan to sign financial reports.

Authorize the Chairman to sign the letter of authorization to the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council for Award No. AW ACFP 26-775-176, designating Judy Dunnagan as the authorized signatory for financial reports.

FP-25-20 – Merchants Cove: Approve the final plat for the subdivision of an approximately 10.8-acre tract into 119 townhouse lots to be named Merchants Cove, including acceptance of a deed for dedication of rights-of-way and acceptance of a drainage, access, and utilities easement. Property is located at 240 Merchants Way (Parcel Number 03-20983) and zoned Medium Residential (MR). Fordaub, LLC, owner.

Consider the issuance of a 2025 Alcoholic Beverage License to MD Georgia 2, LLC., dba  Metro Diner, located at 10515 Canal Crossing, Brunswick, GA  31525. The license is to sell Beer and Wine for consumption on premises of a restaurant, Sunday sales permitted.  John J. Davoli, Jr, licensee.

Consider appointing one (1) citizen to fill the unexpired term of Matthew Permar on the Marshes of Glynn Libraries (MOGL) Board, representing St. Simons Island. The term will begin immediately and will end on June 30, 2029.  The applicants are:

GENERAL BUSINESS

15.

Consider adoption of ordinance amendments to revise Section 2-2-7 pertaining to advisory committees, dissolving the Citizens Solid Waste Management Advisory Committee, the Martin Luther King Boulevard Advisory Committee, the Casino Advisory Committee, and the Blythe Island Regional Park Advisory Committee, and for other purposes.

ZM-25-25 – 7870 HWY 82 Rezone: Consideration of a change of zoning request from Forest Agricultural (FA) to Highway Commercial (HC).
